Powerball jackpot rolls to record estimated R80m

CITIZEN REPORTER

JOHANNESBURG - Tonight’s Powerball jackpot stands at a whopping estimated R80 million, smashing the game’s own record for the highest amount up for grabs so far.

Rolling over for the 21st time and building up progressively since November 2009, tonight’s Powerball jackpot has the potential to change a winning player’s life forever.

Jumping from Friday’s jackpot of R70 million to tonight’s estimated R80 million, Powerball players are sure to scramble to the kiosks to ensure their R3.50 puts them in line to win big.

Friday’s Powerball, although not won, made eight players considerably richer, each winning R330 744 by choosing five correct numbers.

A quick pick option is also available for those who are battling to decide which numbers to choose.

Powerball draws are broadcast live on Tuesday and Friday nights at 9.30pm on SABC 2.
